How does bidding work at De Weerd Veilinghuis?
Bidding Steps
At De Weerd Veilinghuis, bidding is done in increments. The auctioneer uses fixed bidding steps based on the price range of the lot:

Pre-bidding (Advance Bids)
You can set your maximum bid online through your account before the auction begins. The auctioneer will then automatically place bids on your behalf up to that amount. No one else will see your maximum.
Example:
A lot has a starting price of €100.
Person A bids a maximum of €100
Person B bids a maximum of €150
You bid a maximum of €200
The auctioneer will then place a bid on your behalf of €160.
If a higher bid is placed than your limit (€200), the lot will be awarded to the highest other bidder.
When two bidders place the same highest bid, the final allocation will be determined based on the automatic increment system set by the system.
Example:
If the starting price of the lot is €150,
Bidder A bids a maximum of €200 (first max bid),
Bidder B also bids a maximum of €200,
then the lot, according to the above bidding system, will be awarded to Bidder A.
If there are no other bids, you may win the lot for the starting price.
Viewing Days
During the viewing days, you can inspect the lots in person. Bid forms are also available at the location, which you can fill out and submit directly there.
Live Bidding
If you have an approved account, you can bid online during the live auction via our website. Click the "Live Auction" button once the auction begins to participate.
Telephone Bidding
You can also place bids by phone during the auction. Let us know in advance which lots you wish to bid on by phone, and we will call you once the relevant lot is up for bidding.

A form during the viewing days
Telephone or email contact
Important Note
All prices mentioned are exclusive of a 22% auction commission and €3 administration fee per won lot. These will be added to the winning bid after the auction.
