010 Two early Qing dynasty plates

These two early Qing dynasty decorative plates include one famille rose example and one blue-and-white example.

The famille rose plate is decorated with chrysanthemum, lotus, and other flowering branches in the central medallion. The rim is adorned with finger citron (Buddha’s hand) and floral sprays. Overall, the decoration conveys auspicious meanings of wealth, prosperity, and longevity.

The blue-and-white plate features a garden scene with scholar’s rocks and banana plants in the central design, complemented by a balustrade and orchids, symbolizing a lively and flourishing natural environment.

Both in good condition, signs of use.
